Thibault Liger-Belair Bourgogne Gamay | 2019

$25.00

What's Gamay doing with Pinot Noir? In 2010 rising star winemaker, Thibault Liger-Belair was disappointed with the quality of his traditional Bourgogne Rouge, so he decided to add some Gamay from his newly acquired property in Moulin-à-Vent of Beaujolais. Pleased with the results, his experiment evolved into a tradition, called "Les Deux Terres" (The Two Earths). The current release is a total stunner, from a fruit-friendly vintage. A blend of 85% Gamay with 15% Pinot Noir, it zings the palate with bright red fruits, candied flowers, and dark crunchy spice. It’s exactly the kind of wine you should be drinking when you want something light, over-the-top delicious and definitely, not beer. Wings please, extra sauce. ~Allegra A
