Nero d'Avola, Catuj by Selvi | 2018
In comparison to other Nero d'Avola wines, Catuj by Selvi doesn't sting you with alcohol on the finish. At a moderate 13% abv, it sits pretty on the palate with perfectly ripe plums, dark cherries, and warm stone and pairs nicely with things beyond burgers and steak. As the cool weather shuffles-in and with holidays around the corner, this is exactly the kind of wine that you "can never have too much of." It's the kind of wine that you can serve to the in-laws who don't really drink and to those "wine snob" friends that drink too much.
