Nero d'Avola, Naturalmente by Caruso e Minini | 2018
Sicily's most planted grape, Nero d'Avola, is known for its rich aromatics and big tannins. When we tasted this natural expression by Caruso e Minini, we were pleasantly surprised by its vibrancy and glide. Located on the western coast, near the town of Marsala, this Nero d'Avola is elegant compared to the stalwart versions from the hotter southern regions. It's wonderfully creamy on the palate with tannins that are sweet over strong. Drink this with bold things from the sea like charred octopus, baked cod with olives or grilled tuna over fresh greens.
