Purple Rose by Castello di Ama | 2017
A blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, Castello di Ama has been making this rosato since the early 1980s! More of a food wine, than a summer sipper, this rosato unlocks the best of Tuscany with big notes of raspberry and plum, dried lavender and sage, and warm terra cotta earth. Drink this like a light red wine, and serve warmer, between 50-55 (F) in a Burgundy glass. Pair with smoked salmon, quail, or pork Milanese.
