Manuel Cantalapiedra works with incredibly old-vines of Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) just outside of the Toro area in Rueda (known for the Verdejo grape). His vineyards are certified organic, and his winemaking style is natural. Arenisca is a blend of un-grafted Tinta de Toro with 5% white grapes. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with a silky sway on the palate, "Arenisca" shows-off balance and freshness in a climate that can be brutally hot and unforgiving.
