Named after Dora Kallmus, a famous 20th century Viennese photographer, D’Ora Zweigelt is as happy as her label. She's purple on the outside and in, with wild berry blues, violet crunch, and lavender spice. What I really love about D'Ora is that she has proper, high-waisted tannin, a classic Pinot-like structure, which makes her a fine wine, rather than a natty juice bomb. Drink her by herself, with Middle Eastern spices, or with a smoky midnightchar on a thin-crust pie, sausage preferred. Bonus? It’s a liter bottle.
