Terre Stregate was founded in 1988, but the family’s winemaking roots go back five generations, to1898. Today, the estate is run by Filomena and Carlo Iaobucci who have converted all of their 25 hectares of native vines to organic farming. “Svelato” meaning “Unveiled” refers to uncovering the true potential of Falanghina. Harvested and pressed in whole bunches and aged for several months on its lees (in tank) this is not your ordinary Campania quaffer. It’s thick minerality and bursts with herby stone fruits. Easily one of our favorite whites of the year, Terre Stregate is one to watch. ~AA
