The reds of the southern Rhône are essential people pleasers. Jam-packed with fruit and earth, it's nearly impossible to say "No" to a hedonistic glass of Grenache-Syrah. From an underrated co-op, this traditional, cement-aged blend of 60% Grenache with 30% Syrah is equally big and soft. The alcohol is high, but the wine cruises over the palate with velvety tannins, red and black berries, and savory salami spice.
