Most of the Nebbiolo in Angelo Negro's "Langhe" bottling comes from their family estate in the Roero region of Piedmont. Once a lake, the soils are abundant with seashell fossils and sand which give Nebbiolo, from here, a unique high-toned and red-fruited character, much like a Pinot Noir. Additionally, the tannins are un-Nebbiolo like. They are more soft and melty, making this a very "user-friendly" and tasty Nebbiolo. Just pop, pour, and gulp! ~AA
