Antinori Tignanello | 2022

First bottled from the 1971 vintage, Tignanello has evolved into one of Italy’s most iconic, collectible wines—and a true rule-breaker. It was one of the first Sangiovese wines aged in barrique, among the first contemporary reds to use “untraditional” varieties like Cabernet, and one of the first Chianti Classico reds to leave white grapes out of the equation. Today, it’s still Tuscan to-the-bone with its velvet red fruits and warm stone—but it speaks a little French, too, with flashes of cassis, graphite, and winter mocha.
