Formerly called Blanc Fumé de Pouilly, Blanc, Etc. became the new name when Didier's son, Louis-Benjamin, withdrew from the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. In keeping with his late father's non-conformist spirit, the bottles have been labeled Vin de France, since the 2017 vintage. An introduction to the idiosyncratic house style, Etc. comes from the estate's younger vines, from a mix of expositions and soil types. Fermented and aged in tank, this Sauvignon is less broad than its siblings but still exhibits Dagueneau's diamond-cut purity of fruit, with sunbeam citrus overlaying into nectarine and peach. Sharp and silky from beginning to end, this will continue to evolve for at least ten years. Get what you can. ~Allegra A
