Domaine Pêcheur Côtes du Jura Rouge Poulsard | 2023

Domaine Pêcheur began producing wine in 1976 from a single hectare. Today Christian and Patricia Pêcheur run the family operation which encompasses eight hectares and more than ten different wines. Their Poulsard remains an underrated gem of the region. More like a dark rosé, it’s feathery on the palate but packed with oodles of cherry, strawberry, and gentle white spice. Destemmed entirely, it’s aged in a combination of stainless-steel tanks and used 600-liter oak casks. If you’re a fan of light reds that are plenty ripe and far from green, put Poulsard and Domaine Pêcheur on your tasting beat. ~Allegra A
