Most people recognize Lambrusco as a style of wine, but it also refers to a category of grapes. There are over 60 Lambrusco varieties, both black and white, and "Sorbara" is one of the most adored, prized for its delicacy and supreme elegance. Gavioli is one of the unsung heroes of Lambrusco, making wines since the late 18th century and is still a family-owned operation. Made by the tank method, this expression is like drinking happiness in a glass, over-flowing with raspberries, cherries, and candied rose.
