We’re over-the-moon to have Bertrand-Gabriel Vigouroux all to ourselves as he teaches us the history of Malbec, through storytelling. Bertrand is one of Malbec’s most important voices. He represents the fourth generation of the Vigouroux family, which has worked with the variety since 1887. His father, Georges, revived the historic Château de Haute-Serre plateau in 1971 after phylloxera wiped out its vineyards, and today, Bertrand carries that work forward with high-density plantings and tiny, magical yields. The result is Malbec in its finest French suit: buoyant ripeness, saline freshness, and chiseled tannins.
