Heinrichshof Pinot Blanc | 2023

Owned and run by brothers Peter and Ulrich Griebeler since 2014, Heinrichshof makes a deliciously dry, luscious, and price-friendly Pinot Blanc from the Mosel. A grape that is finally getting the attention it deserves, Germany boasts the world's largest vineyard area for Pinot Blanc. From estate vineyards in the village of Zeltingen and Erben, the grapes undergo a few hours of skin maceration, followed by fermentation and aging in steel tanks with no racking. Filtered just once before bottling, the result is a total people pleaser. Ripe with yellow fruits, white flowers, and slivers of almond, the palate is comfortable and cozy, finishing dry with a nice dose of citrusy acidity. ~Allegra A
