Owned and run by brothers Peter and Ulrich Griebeler since 2014, Heinrichshof produces a deliciously dry, generous, and well-priced Pinot Blanc from the Mosel. It’s a grape that is finally getting the attention it deserves, and Germany is, in fact, home to the world’s largest vineyard area dedicated to Pinot Blanc. Sourced from estate vineyards in the villages of Zeltingen and Erben, the grapes undergo a few hours of skin maceration before fermenting and aging in stainless steel, with no racking along the way. Ripe with yellow fruit, white flowers, and a touch of almond, the palate is soft with a cozy citrus acidity, an absolute crowd pleaser! ~Allegra Angelo
