A blend of 14 different varieties in partnership with the small growers of Alto Adige, Misto Mare is an avant-garde bottling from a time-honored, 7th generation estate. A leader of biodynamic and organic farming, Misto Mare works with growers who are in the process of converting their vineyards to these principles. Like the label, the blend represents a chaotic assemblage, a patchwork of the colorful terroirs and grapes of the Dolomite Mountains, which boast more than 100 soil types. Fermented spontaneously and aged in steel, you'll find the weight of Pinot Bianco, the almond shell of Pinot Grigio, the floral spice of Gewurztraminer, the juicy red fruits of Pinot Noir, and perhaps, Schiava.
