Domaine du Petit Pérou Beaujolais, Tu M'tiens au Jus | 2022

This lively Gamay is exactly what I crave when we want something fresh, light, and pretty. As some Cru Beaujolais styles near 15% alcohol, Laurent & Hugo Thévenet's "You keep me in the Juice," hovers refreshingly around 12.5%. A blend of 60-year-old vines throughout the appellation, this cuvée ferments and ages in steel with a subtle suggestion of carbonic maceration (purple grape dust and banana candy). On the palate, white spices and pink flowers linger, followed by pop tart acidity. Simply, predictable, and delicious, I wouldn't change anything about this wine. ~Allegra A
