Leyre-Loup Morgon | 2020

The pedigree of terroir for this Morgon is hard-to-beat for the price: fifty-year-old vines, sustainably farmed, from Morgon's top sites: Corcelette, Douby, and the lesser known, Bellevue. In the glass, a sunburst of red and black fruits greets the nose, followed by candied rose, white pepper, and green moss. Aged in old barrel, there's a hint of sweet spice on the palate and well-mannered tannins stretch out the finish. Foolproof delicious, this is an excellent introduction to Leyre-Loup's classic style. ~Allegra A
