The Macallan Time : Space Mastery (700ML)

This is the little sibling of the ultra-elusive "TIME: SPACE" Macallan which fetches close to $200,000 per bottle. The two releases, celebrating the 200th anniversary (1824) of The Macallan, contain 3 new whiskies: "TIME: SPACE" contains two different whiskies: an 84-year-old and a five-year-old, while "TIME: SPACE Mastery" contains a third whisky with no age statement. Creative Director, Jaume Ferras, explains, "For Mastery, we worked with a selection of casks to create the desired profile. The master whisky makers used a diverse array of casks across a variety of cooperages, bodegas, oak origins, seasoning styles and cask sizes. This process is an art form and saw our whisky masters strive to find a balance in all the elements, for them to work harmoniously together.” With its halo-shaped bottle and bright red box, coated in 200 origami thorns, this is gift will not only impress the Macallan collector, but anyone who appreciates first-class spirits and the art of blending. ~Allegra A
