I really like this wine. At 13% alcohol, it has enough oomph to satisfy drinkers who usually reach for heavier reds, but there’s still plenty of freshness and glide for those of us who prefer lighter styles. A blend of Castelão, Moreto, and Trincadeira from Alentejo, it offers richly red fruit layered with spiced violets and a gentle, sun-warmed earthiness. With moderate tannins and acidity, it finds a winning balance of broadly appealing, satisfying, and easy on the wallet. ~Allegra Angelo
