Racines Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir | 2020

Racines is a collaboration between two classic houses from France, led by vignerons Étienne de Montille and Brian Sieve of Burgundy and Rodolphe Péters of Champagne, along with Justin Willett of Tyler Winery in Santa Barbara. The source is cool-climate Sta. Rita Hills sites, which translate into bright, crunchy fruit in the glass with moderate alcohols. A blend of vineyard sites, the 2020 Sta. Rita Hills cuvée is a stunning example of shiny, red-fruit forward Pinot Noir with soft gestures of stone and spice. It’s not trying to be Burgundy.
