Ruinart Rosé | NV

Ruinart is one of Champagne’s legendary old houses, and it was already pushing the boundaries of pink Champagne back in the eighteenth century. This cuvée is almost an even split of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, including a generous 12% of Pinot vinified as a red wine. If you’re a fan of the more robust and vinous styles of rosé, like Laurent-Perrier or Egly-Ouriet, then you’ll enjoy Ruinart. The nose is a yin-yang of cold-climate and tropical fruits: pomegranate and sour cherry rolling into cacao and guava. On the palate, it’s classic Ruinart—ever plush, silky, and dry, with a super-fine mousse and slivers of nerves. A forever classic, and never a bad choice, I’ll take my Ruinart, pink please. ~Allegra Angelo
