Today, the property spans more than 150 acres of organically farmed vines and operates one of the most ecologically advanced cellars in Italy, with the ambitious goal of becoming the world’s first fully off-the-grid, self-contained winery. Wow. And this “simple” Vino Nobile? It’s anything but. Pure Sangiovese flirts the line between tradition and ease. It's polished, but not squeaky. It's dusty, but sweetish—in that hedonistic, Tuscan way. Spirals of red fruit stretch out like a slinky, while the tannins start firm, then settle into cozy.
