Marco Fantinel represents the third generation of the Fantinel family and has played a massive role in bringing Friuli—and its wines—to a glorious international stage. Born in Udine and educated in London, Marco joined the family business in 1995, first leading exports and later becoming President of the Fantinel Group. At La Roncaia, the family’s “boutique-y” estate in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, he is committed to Friulian authenticity, rigorous selection, and, above all, respect for the land and its many terroirs. Mastering tradition with innovation, we’re over-the-moon to welcome Marco to Wine Island for the very first time. So, let’s show him a grand old time, and raise a glass to the magic of Friuli!
