Tissier Sancerre | 2025

Our house Sancerre for six years and counting, Roland Tissier comes from a third-generation family estate in Sancerre. The Domaine farms about 30 acres, mostly Sauvignon Blanc, planted across limestone and flint soils that give the wine all those layers of non-fruity goodness we love. Too often, Sancerre is released too young, without enough time on the lees to put some flesh on its bones. Not the case with Tissier. There’s plenty of icy texture here, energized by citrus zest, white peach, and tiny gems of flowers. A natural pairing for just about any not too heavy meal, Tissier continues to be a knockout for the price—and six years later, still one of our favorites. ~Allegra Angelo
