Seehof Rosé of Pinot Noir | 2023

$24.00

Finally, a rosé that tastes like the grape it’s made from! Florian Fauth is a radical, yet lovable winemaker, making deliciously unpretentious wines in the southern Rheinhessen. What makes his work even more intriguing is his connection to one of the most unicorn names in German wine: his sister, Julia, is married to Klaus Peter Keller. Seehof, Florian's estate, is just a 10-minute drive from Keller and farms key parcels in some of the region’s most eye-candy vineyards, including Kirchspiel and Morstein. The magic lies in the limestone soils, versus the typical German slate, which give Seehof’s wines a colorful, bone-chilling acidity. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this rosé oozes with watermelon, red peach, sweet blood orange, and ginger. On the palate it’s boundlessly juicy, unfolding into every cranny of your mouth, then a rainbow of acidity buoys an ultra-dry, lip-smacking finish. So good, it’s impossible to have just one glass. We dare you. ~Allegra A
