Regarded as one of the most voluptuous styles of Cabernet-based Bordeaux wines, Pichon Comtesse de Lalande impresses both Old World and New World lovers alike.
A flattering Left Bank season, 2010 in Pauillac witnessed many warm days and cool nights, which encouraged a desirably late Cabernet harvest in early October. Unlike the 2009 Comtesse whose size is chunkier, the 2010 is more aerodynamic, balanced in every direction with violet berries, wing-like tannins, and that magical gunmetal grey earth. Rated 95-100 points by several international critics, Decanter aptly brags, "It sparks to life in your mouth and breaks out an involuntary smile. The texture is just liquid silk, and it slowly but surely builds through the palate, gaining in confidence." Held for three years in our temperature-controlled warehouse, we're releasing these 2010s for the first time at an exceptional price. ~Allegra A
