Unlike the supercharged "pea or asparagus" versions from Marlborough, this expression is more subtle on the green, sourced from the coolest, driest, and windiest region, called the Awatere Valley. Fincher & Co. is a first-class producer and makes a style of Sauvignon Blanc that will energize you. It's a tart, icy mineral-blast and exactly the type of wine I will enjoy, when my only other choices are house Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay.
