Grüner Veltliner is a grape that I forget about how much I like it until I drink it. This is a wine that checks all the boxes. It's from a single site (Geppling), it's old vines (Alte Reben), and it's managed by a Wutzl himself, Franz-Josef. There's excellent weight to this wine, but it maintains its brightness and gulpable appeal. Poached pears, honey, white peach, and yellow flowers are just a few of high notes in the glass.
