Vino Ghvino Gvantsa Ojaleshi | 2022

Ojaleshi is a semi-sweet red wine made from one of Georgia’s oldest varietals, the Ojale grape. It grows in and around the village of Samegrelo-Zemo-Svaneti in Western Georgia, where the Black Sea influences a warm and humid climate. An alternative to the very popular, semi-sweet Kindzmarauli red wines of the eastern Kakheti region, this Ojaleshi was infused with local spices which give a peppery kick to the finish. Pair with Thai spicy noodles, decadent aged blue cheeses or add ginger beer, ice, and orange slices to make a sangria, Georgian style. ~Allegra A
