Mas de Daumas Gassac Rouge | 2014

A rare library release from the beloved Languedoc estate, the 2014 red is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec, 2% Pinot Noir, 1% Tannat, and a handful of unusual varieties like Abouriou, Nielluccio, Montepulciano, and Saperavi, Carménère, and Tempranillo. Aged 15 months in used French barrels, Gassac Rouge is beginning to show the treasures of a red wine with age, uncovering the best of the southern French outdoors with lilac and roses, moss and evergreen, truffle and smoked meat. ~Allegra A
