4-Pack of Murva Friulano | 2022

Alberto Pelos is the whisperer behind Murva, located in Friuli’s Isonzo region, just south of the more famous Collio. We tend to associate Friuli whites with opulence, but Murva is a sneaky antithesis, defined by sky-high aromatics and precise, textural purity. Without any maceration, but aged on the lees, this Friulano is mountain-fresh air in a bottle. My journal scribble reads, “Wintergreen alpine breeze // aromatics are very pretty // snappy delight // a little leaner than Petrussa’s style.” Yup, like that. ~Allegra Angelo
