One-to-watch, Domaine Tabordet is run by brothers, Yvon and Pascal Tabordet who expanded the family's holdings from Sancerre into neighboring Pouilly-Fumé, just across the Loire River. This pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc grown in silex, flinty soils is made with the foolproof, classic formula: fermented and aged in steel on its lees for several months. In the glass, the minerality is mouthcoating, and fruit is lush with citrus and smoky guava. Medium-plus bodied and bracingly bone-dry, this Pouilly-Fumé proves the marvelous match of silex soils and Sauvignon Blanc.  ~Allegra A
