Tabordet Pouilly Fumé L'Autre Rive | 2022

One-to-watch, Domaine Tabordet is run by brothers, Yvon and Pascal Tabordet who expanded the family's holdings from Sancerre into neighboring Pouilly-Fumé, located eastward, on the autre-side of the Loire River. This pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc grown in silex, flinty soils is made with the foolproof, classic formula: fermented in steel and aged in steel, on its lees for several months. In the glass, the minerality is mouthcoating, and fruit is lush with citrus and smoky guava. Medium-plus bodied and bracingly bone-dry, this Pouilly-Fumé proves the marvelous match of silex soils and Sauvignon Blanc.  ~Allegra A
