Volpe Pasini Pinot Grigio | 2023

When Pinot Grigio grapes are mature and ripe on-the-vine, they develop a pretty copper color. Forgot those thin and watery versions of Pinot Grigio (which are made from underripe grapes). Well-made, righteous Pinot Grigio is straight-up delicious. From the premier Colli Orientali region of Friuli, this is a medium-plus bodied wine with a nice balance of fruit and earth. Sweet almond and pear are generous on the palate, supported by nice acidity and a juicy, but dry finish. Enjoy a glass by itself or with shellfish, poultry, or white pizzas. ~Allegra A
